I love wedding celebration of two cultures! I’ve delayed blogging this incredibly epic Anglo Indian Wedding as I just know that my words cannot do this wedding justice (hopefully the photos do though!). This was truly an epic ‘English Indian wedding’ and one which I will never ever forget. I love Indian music and dance and I knew that the energy and joy on this wedding day would be on a different level.
My very excited and happy groom Daniel was getting ready at The kings Arms And Royal Hotel in Godalming, Surrey. When I met Daniel for the first time, I knew this wedding will be something very special. His energy and excitement was shining through. After some getting ready shots with his father, best man and groomsmen, I quickly drove to meet my lovely bride Zoe who was getting ready at the venue. I have worked at High Billinghurst farm in Godalming, Surrey before- it’s always my honour to be back. This venue is so rustic and I love how it is situated in a private, quiet place in the middle of beautiful countryside. It was so lovely to finally meet Zoe, her mum and all her bridesmaids dressed in their stunning Indian clothes. Zoe was wearing a traditional English wedding dressed, but there was a secret Indian dress hanging in her room…Yes, there was a big surprise coming – I knew about this before the wedding, but I didn’t expect it to be so amazing (wow, just look at the photos :-)!
The ceremony took place in the rustic barn at High Billinghurst Farm and was followed by confetti, which was pretty great to shoot as my wedding couple Zoe and Dan looked so so so happy and excited. I love for personalities to shine through in my photos and I strive to capture moments that are real, happy and emotive. If you have a browse through the gallery below, you will see a beautiful mix of fun, romantic and colorful portraits combined with documentary shooting. We managed to escape for some romantic sunset photos. There is a beautiful field next to the venue that is just made for perfect, romantic photos of wedding couple with the stunning sunset behind.
After the emotional and fun speeches, cutting a wedding cake, the big surprise was coming… Zoe left for few minutes to get dress in her secret Indian clothes and came back with her bridesmaids to perform the most amazing Indian dance. Dan had no idea about this… his reaction was just unforgettable. The atmosphere in the room was indescribable. Zoe is a very talented dancer and her performance was breathtaking. This wedding was sensational! I am so happy for Zoe and Dan who managed to organized such an unforgettable wedding for all their loved ones.
