As a photographer I felt so spoilt with locations for creating beautiful wedding photos of my wedding couple Abbey and Chris. Oxleaze comprises of two original adjoining Cotswold stone barns, set in a mature landscaped courtyard at the heart of a family-run farm. The pretty courtyard garden complements the space and is perfect for an outside ceremony, drinks reception, and evening revelry. A fire pit and pretty festoon lighting add even more magic.

This was the first time I visited this rustic and country wedding venue to capture Abbey and Chris’s wedding day. They were incredibly lucky to have beautiful sunshine throughout the whole day. After their outdoor ceremony, we managed to escape for some couple’s photos to a wonderful private garden that this venue offers. It offers so many fantastic locations that allow me to create the most amazing images.

I am truly honored for my couple to choose me to capture their big day. I really enjoyed being part of it and capture all their special moments.

The Main Barn can sit 120 for the wedding breakfast and opens onto the large courtyard garden – perfect for an outdoor drinks reception and evening revelry with a firepit for you and your guests to gather around. 

With beams dating back to 1702 the Milling Barn is full of character, offering a unique ceremony space for 90. Come twilight it transforms into a great party barn to dance the night away! 

For a wilder touch, our pretty wed shed at the top of the wooded meadow is licensed for ceremonies, with breathtaking views over the Cotswold countryside beyond. 

Oxleaze Barn is located between the quintessential Cotswold villages of Eastleach, Filkins and Southrop. It is 1.5hr from London and easily accessible from Oxford, Swindon and Cheltenham.

]]> I was contacted by the lovely couple Vicky and Subharthi to capture their big day at The Tithe Barn. It is a unique, local wedding and reception venue, set in the heart of the South Downs National Park. The barn is a stunning historic building in a glorious country setting. 

This was a March wedding and we were lucky to get a dry day. I was hoping for beautiful sunset photos but unfortunately, we were not lucky enough to get a sunny day. 

Vicky was getting ready with her bridesmaids at the venue at The Old Milking Parlour, a neutral and modern space. They were all beautifully treated by a very talented makeup artist Emma and hair stylist nuhair. 

Vicky and Subharthi got legally married 3 days earlier in London. Vicky’s brother was brave enough to give them a beautiful ceremony. Vicky was accompanied down the aisle by her father. After exchanging vows, they walked down the aisle and all the guests came to congratulate them. 

With their guests keeping warm inside the barn and enjoying their drinks, I grabbed my couple for quick photos around the beautiful grounds that this venue offers. 

We managed to take some relaxed, natural photos before the party started. 

After the speeches, Vicky and Subharthi kicked off their party by cutting their cake and their first dance. 

The Tithe Barn is such a great wedding venue and I am so pleased to be back for my 2023 and 2024 weddings.

The Tithe Barn Floor Plan

The Tithe Barn floor plan can be arranged however you would like it.
Couples usually choose to have the ceremony at one end, with tables fully set and decorated for the reception all screened off in the main part of the Barn until they are needed.
A dancing area can be set up so you don’t have to move tables away.
For a smaller wedding party The Tithe Barn can be screened off into a number of distinct areas for a more intimate feel.

How to get to The Tithe Barn

From the North

Travel south on the A3 and take the Petersfield/Midhurst exit
Stay in the left-hand lane, proceed for a ¼ of a mile to a small roundabout and take the first exit left onto the B2070 signposted Sheet, Rake and Midhurst
Stay on the B2070 for about 200 yards and then turn right into Pulens Lane
Continue straight down this road, until you get to a T-junction. At the T-junction turn left onto the B2146, signposted South Harting
Continue along the B2146 until you see a sign that says “Ditcham Park School and the Tithe Barn”. Turn right and continue straight along this road for approximately 200 yards. The Barn is in front of you and is the first set of buildings you encounter 

From the South 

Travel north on the A3(M). After the Queen Elizabeth Country Park and the Butser Cutting, take the Petersfield/Buriton exit
At the roundabout take the first exit signposted Petersfield. You are now travelling on the B2070
At the next roundabout take the second exit onto the Causeway
Just after the Tesco store, turn right onto the B2146 into Sussex Road. There is also a Plumb Centre and a Total garage on this crossroads
Continue along the B2146, for about 2.4 miles until you see a sign that says “Ditcham Park School and the Tithe Barn”. Turn right and continue straight along this road for approximately 200 yards. The Barn is in front of you and is the first set of buildings you encounter.

]]> After planning a July 2021 wedding, Ellie and Tom rescheduled to 23rd July 2022, allowing almost all of their friends and family from overseas to attend. It was the biggest wedding I have ever photographed with 300 guests!

The bride, her parents and her bridesfolk travelled to University Church of St Mary the Virgin in Oxford in a vintage minibus. Once they arrived at the church, Ellie walked down the aisle to a beloved classic. The ceremony also featured the vocal talents of Ellie’s friends. Ellie is a choral singer and I will never forget her surprise song for Tom – When I am Sixty Four from Beatles. It was such a lovely moment and this song will always remind me this special day. The pair swapped wedding rings that had previously belonged to their grandparents.

Following the ceremony, the happy couple and their guests made their way to Newbridge Farm in Witney, Oxfordshire where they continued celebrations that had begun the night before. On the wedding day itself, guests tucked into a variety of dishes, including some delicious Italian desserts. The entertainment was kicked off with a performance from Tom’s sister, Anna, who sang Plan to Marry by Lucinda Williams before some wedding breakfast games began. The couple’s first dance was to I Want to Hold Your Hand by the Beatles, starting out with an acoustic version before inviting everyone onto the dance floor for the original, energetic version.

]]> In September 2021 I was given the wonderful opportunity to capture another gorgeous Autumnal wedding, and only a few minutes from my home! The Half Moon is a wedding venue located in the heart of the South Downs National Park in the village of Sheet, just outside the historic market town of Petersfield.

I arranged to meet this lovely couple prior to their wedding day for a stunning family/pre-wedding photoshoot on Butser Hill, Hampshire. It’s always good meeting the soon-to-be bride and groom prior to the wedding so they feel more relaxed in front of the camera and we get a chance to get to know each other a bit more.

We managed to time the photoshoot just right at the top of the hill to capture the incredible views at sunset. These types of photos at sunset are so magical and the scenery was breathtaking.

]]> Wow! That’s how I felt when I saw the Tithe Barn for the first time. The Tithe Barn is a unique wedding and reception venue, set in the heart of the South Downs National Park. It’s a stunning historic building in a glorious country setting. I was so pleased when Hannah and Robert asked me to capture their big day at this beautiful venue that is so local to me.

This wedding was on its fifth postponement date due to Covid and I’m so happy that they were finally able to tied the knot. There were lots of children invited to this venue and it was so lovely to see them having so much fun playing safely in the beautiful, large garden that this venue offers.

This was a spring wedding and we were so lucky to get beautiful sunshine on the day. I loved shooting this wonderful wedding and being a part of such a special day. I’m only 15 mins away from this venue and can’t wait to shoot there again in the future.
